ATLANTA (WAOK) - A former employee of an Atlanta area mega-church is under arrest in connection with today’s fatal shooting at the church.

The shooting victim is 39-year-old Gregory Mcdowell who was leading a Bible study group this morning at World Changers Church.

Police say they arrested Floyd Palmer at  Lenox mall in Buckhead just before 4pm.

A Fulton County police spokeswoman said Palmer resigned from his job at the church in August.

The 52-year-old had worked as a member of the church’s production crew.

Televangelist Creflo Dollar is the pastor at World Changers Church which has a congregation of about 30-thousand members.
