This is not your ordinary RX 350.
Lexus has always delivered a buttery-smooth ride….the F-Sport RX 350 just does it with a few more muscles,
Suspension muscles, not horsepower muscles, as the RX 350 already has pretty much all the power that it really needs.
The RX 350 F-Sport comes with the same solid 3.5 Liter, 270 HP V-6 that’s standard on the rest of the RX line, but the F-Sport has a tightened suspension that delivers a comfortable, confident, composed ride.
It’s not the knife-edged handling that you’d expect from a BMW or Infiniti, but more of a confident, “I’m in control” kind of ride…one that leaves you feeling that you could do an easy 900 mile day…and look forward to another one tomorrow.
Compared to the “regular” RX 350, the F-Sport comes with an 8-speed automatic instead of a 6-speed…and it comes standard with all-wheel-drive….and thanks to that 8-speed auto, the F-Sport is rated at 26 hwy mpg…one more than the “regular” RX with the 6-speed….even with the extra weight of the all-wheel-drive.
Of course the RX350 F-Sport comes with the expected array of Lexus features like heated and cooled perforated leather, wood trim, moonroof, Mark Levinson surround-sound, blind-spot monitors and more.
One useful extra that we had on our test vehicle was a heads-up display that showed your speed in the bottom of the windshield. That one feature alone will probably save you a few hundred a year…in tickets…as the F-Sport can easily climb over 90 if you’re not paying attention.
The RX 350 line starts around $40,000…and fully loaded our F-Sport come in at $53,924.
We got around 22-23 MPG in our typical commute…close to 27 on a foggy speed-limit two-lane…which is right in-line for other vehicles in it’s class.
