If you like Camrys, you ought to really love the SE V6.
This is Toyota’s performance Camry…and in addition to the 268 HP V6, the SE gives you 18” alloys, a sport-tuned suspension, quicker ratio steering, paddle shifters, and a sport-tuned suspension.
They all combine to make the SE a rather rapid and well-controlled ride…with the 3.5 liter six capable of some serious acceleration.
And with the optional $1,050 leather package, you’ll be riding in heated ultra-suede sport seats with leather door trim…giving the SE the looks to go with it’s name.
Projector-beam halogen headlights, fog lights, a color-keyed rear spoiler, heated folding mirrors, a leather-trimmed tilt / telescoping steering wheel, a 6.1” touch-screen, all the expected connectivity including hands-free phone with voice recognition and a 10-speaker JBL sound system round-out the package.
Our SE included a $915 moonroof and a $895 convenience package which included a backup cam, an auto-diming mirror, anti-theft system and more….bringing it’s window sticker to $31,135…which is actually within a few dollars of the average transaction price of a new vehicle these days.
Those 268 horses flow through a 6-speed automatic…generating EPA mileage figures of 21 city and 30 highway. We averaged around 25 mpg in our daily commute…burning regular gas.
Again, if you like your Camrys with a little attitude, the SE would be your ride.
