DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. (CBS Atlanta) — A Georgia family is suing RadioShack and Sprint after claiming there were pornographic images on cellphones they purchased.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Marcia Jones and her 13-year-old daughter purchased the phones from a Dekalb County RadioShack in June 2011. After turning on the phones at home, that’s when they saw the graphic images.

“They were clearly not new phones,” Curt Thompson, the family’s attorney, told the Journal-Constitution.

The lawsuit states that the teenage girl has had to undergo therapy after viewing adult and child pornography on the phone, WSB-TV reports. RadioShack offered to give them new phones.

“All the store was willing to do was trade out the phones,” Thompson told WSB.

The Journal-Constitution reports that Sprint was named in the lawsuit because the company licenses the phones.

Sprint has 30 days to respond to the lawsuit.
