The Braves will host the Cardinals in the NL Wild Card Game this Friday. The Cardinals secured the second Wild Card spot when the Dodgers lost to the Giants last night.
The Cards won the World Series as a Wild Card team last season.
Braves pitcher Kris Medlen will get the start in Friday’s one game playoff.
Medlen was named the NL Pitcher of the Month for September yesterday. Medlen went 4-and-0 en route to becoming the first pitcher to win the honor in back-to-back months since Ubaldo Jimenez in April and May of 2010.
