tailgate fan2 Five Tailgating Gadgets Every Falcons Fan Should Own

The iPhone 5 went on sale in the last week but that doesn’t mean you can rest on your laurels when it comes to buying gadgets for your Atlanta Falcons tailgate. There is always something new and exciting to get your hands on.

Tailgaters are a creative group. They learn to make do with what they have but many come armed each week with items that surprise even the most ardent gadget hounds and foodies. Just take a walk around any of the the Georgia Dome parking lots and you will see tailgaters with some incredible gadgets and tailgating accessories. My motto when tailgating is “be prepared” and with these five tailgating gadgets, you will not only impress your friends and relatives but get more out of your tailgate experience at the Georgia Dome.

iOpener

Here is a bottle opener that you will never lose, unless you lose your iPhone. It’s an iPhone case that has a bottle opener that flips out to open your cold beverage and then it retracts back into the case faster than you can say “Budweiser.” For about $15, this is a must-have for the tailgate season. It’s made of 16-gauge stainless steel and it will keep your precious iPhone safe and sound. It gets hot on the Georgia Dome’s concrete parking lots so keep your thirst quenched with a bottle opener that is always with you. It’s available for the new iPhone 5 and previous versions.

iGrill

What will they think of next? There really is an app for everything, including your grill. The iGrill is a Bluetooth thermometer that lets you know how your meat is cooking and when it’s done. The iGrill slides right into your meat and will give you updates via your iPad or iPhone on how it’s progressing. The iGrill costs about $80 and it’s powered by four AAA batteries. Get your meat cooked the way you want it and have peace of mind the next time you are the grillmaster of your tailgate.

Vortex Hand Crank Blender

It’s not a party without a blender, but sometimes you don’t have an electrical hookup. What’s one to do? Try the Vortex Hand Crank Blender and you can take the party anywhere. No more getting your cords tangled or run over and no dead batteries to worry about. Use the clamp to secure the blender’s base and get cranking. The pitcher holds 1.5 liters of your favorite beverage and the blender’s additional gear allows you to crush ice. It’s easy to clean and it’s shatterproof. Get this blender and you’re half way to Margaritaville.

Electronic Cornhole Scoreboard

We all know a good game of cornhole is a requirement for any successful Atlanta tailgate. Keep track of the score with an electronic scoreboard. Two guys from Kansas City came up with this ingenius product that lets you keep score by pressing a switch. Red LED lights illuminate to show the score. A remote-control device is in the works to make life much easier for the players. It’s attractive, it’s durable and you will eliminate any cornhole arguments; and those can get ugly.

Cruzin Cooler

If you ever tried to walk around the Georgia Dome or around the property of the Georgia World Congress Center, you know how big it is. Not only will you get tired, you will get thirsty. That makes the Cruzin Cooler the perfect tailgate accessory. Picture this, it’s part cooler and part motor scooter. It’s a cooler on wheels powered by gas or electric charge and comes in various sizes and colors, including red and black for the diehard Falcons fan. The Cruzin Cooler is surprisingly light and very mobile. It fits in most trunks and after you try it, you’ll wonder how you ever tailgated without one. An item this great doesn’t come cheap — it’s $350 and up.
