Prescription Drugs Targeted In “Drug Take Back Day”
ATLANTA (WAOK)- The Drug Enforcement Agency is sponsoring a National Drug Take Back Day tomorrow.
It’s a chance for people across the U.S. to clean out their cabinets of expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.
The last time the event was held on April 28th, people turned in a record-breaking 552-thousand-161 pounds of medications for safe disposal at more than 56-hundred take-back sites in all 50 states and U.S. territories.
Collection sites will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., local times.
