DALLAS – (WAOK/AJC) -  Investigators say a Paulding county couple,  now being held without bond for abusing their 18 year old son,   had previous allegations against them 3 years ago.  Paul and Sheila Comer are accused of abusing and starving Mitch Comer,  who was found wandering inside a Los Angeles California bus station last week.  He told investigators his stepfather drove him to Mississippi,   gave him 200 dollars and a pamphlet about homeless shelters,  and told him he was on his own.   Court records indicate the Comers were accused of abuse in 20-09,  when the Department of Families and Children got involved,  but the agency referred the case to the Cherokee county sheriff’s office,  where it apparently stalled.    Two other children,   11 and 13 year old girls are now in protective custody.
