CLAYTON CO, Ga – (WAOK/AJC) – Two families have been torn apart, by the death of one teen, while his friend stands accused of killing him. 20-year old Divonte Lester was in court in Clayton county, Tuesday, on a charge of involuntary manslaughter, for the shooting death of 19 year old Quinn Keevon Heckstall, who Lester says was shot, accidentally, Saturday, while he handled a gun, he thought was unloaded at a Jonesboro apartment Lester, who also faces charges of reckless conduct, and tampering with evidence, says he’s sorry for what happened and didn’t intend to hurt Heckstall. Heckstall’s family is not satisified with Lester’s explanation, and wants more answers. His father, Quinn Heckstall says no one should play with a gun, because of its dangers. Lester who surrendered to authorities Monday night, is being held without bond in the Clayton county jail.
