The friend of a black CNN camerawoman who was assaulted and called an animal at the Republican National Convention yesterday says that officials did not do enough and owe her friend an apology. Jamila Bey, who hosts “The Sex, Politics and Religion Hour”, said her friend is really distraught and deserves an apology from the Republican Party and presidential contender former Gov. Mitt Romney. Bey’s friend, who has requested to remain anonymous, says two whites pelted her with peanuts and told, “This is how we feed animals.”

Several people are said to have seen the exchange and security and police immediately removed the convention attendees. The RNC released this: “Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behavior. Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated.”
