ATLANTA – (WAOK/AJC) – Atlanta police are investigating the shooting death of 21- year old Timothy Ashley. Investigators says he was walking from a bus stop, near Danforth and Cascade Roads, in SW Atlanta, when he was approached and shot in the chest around midnight, Wednesday. They say the robbers got away with Ashley’s book bag, and could be responsible for two other robberies in the same area, that occurred before the shooting. His family is stunned, saying he was planning to study Marine biology, and had been working a part time job. Police say he was close to his home, which is about a half mile from the bus stop, when he collapsed and later died.
