Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick had to leave Monday night’s preseason game against the New England Patriots due to injury.  Vick was drilled in the midsection by Patriots linebacker Jermaine Cunningham on Philadelphia’s second offensive possession.

Vick exited the game and headed back to the locker room to have X-rays on his ribs.  The team announced during the game that the X-rays came back negative.  Vick missed three games due to broken ribs last season.  He also had to leave the team’s first preseason game after injuring his throwing hand.

The Eagles went on to win the game, 27-17.
