NFL star and former “Dancing With The Stars” contestant Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is out of a job.  The Miami Dolphins released the wide receiver Sunday, one day after he was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

Johnson is accused of head butting his wife Evelyn Lozada during an argument.  The just-married couple wed last month on the Fourth of July on the Caribbean island of St. Martin.  Johnson spent the night in jail Saturday before posting bond on Sunday morning.

The Dolphins issued a one-sentence statement to announce its termination of Johnson’s contract.  Johnson appeared on the tenth season of ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars.”

On Monday he also lost his just completed VH1 reality show “Ev and Ocho,” set for Sept. 3. VH1 has no plans to resurrect it.
