ATLANTA – (WAOK/AJC)  –   Neighborhoods across the country will be turning on porch lights and getting together with neighbors to show their support for the ‘National Night Out.’   The annual event,  on Tuesday,   is an attempt to show criminals that many neighbors are working with each other to stamp out crime,   and protect their neighborhoods.    Some residents will host block parties, cookouts,  and safety seminars,  to send a clear message that crime won’t be tolerated.   Last year 37 million people in 50-states took part in the event.   To learn more about it,  log onto
