Record Heroin Bust In Gwinnett County
DULUTH – (WAOK/AJC) – Gwinnett county law enforcement along with federal authorities say they’ve made a record heroin bust, and crushed a known drug trafficking cartel. Agents made the bust early Thursday at a home on Megan Road in Duluth, that they say was being used as a stash house. Officers arrested three men, two of whom they say are Mexican nationals, and confiscated 86 pounds of heroin, worth about six million dollars. Agents also raided another so called stash house at an undisclosed location, where they say they found two million dollars in cash. The men are suspected of running drugs from Mexico, for the drug cartel, known as La Familia. Several weapons were also seized in the raid.
