ATLANTA (AP) — Voters in several metro Atlanta counties have approved Sunday alcohol sales.
Election results from the Georgia Secretary of State show that a majority of voters in Cobb County approved Sunday sales.
Voters in Tuesday’s primary election were also deciding whether to allow alcohol in unincorporated areas of Fulton County.
About 75 percent of voters there had approved the measure with most precincts reporting results.
Voters in the two counties had already approved Sunday sales, but had to decide the issue again after officials said Georgia law required more county residents to be able to vote — not just those who live in unincorporated areas.
Voters also approved Sunday alcohol sales in Fayette County.
