On Powertalk with Lorraine Jacques-White, we talked about the final decision on the David versus Goliath campaign, the T-SPLOST referendum.  This issue has had the city of Atlanta in rage,  but the grassroots leaders with less money defeated supporters of the T-SPLOST with a landslide, “NO FOR T-SPLOST” won the battle.

Supporters of the T-SPLOST had an $8 million budget and after months of campaigning for everything  from a historic penny sales tax referendum, aimed at addressing transportation and quality of life issues, the T-SPLOST took a hard beating and many voters were proud. With 67 percent of precincts reporting, 64 percent of metro Atlanta voters said “NO” to a proposed 1 percent sales tax for a list of transportation projects T-SPLOST was defeated Tuesday night.

Our special guest Senator Vincent Fort stated his views and opinions on the decision of the T-SPLOST , He said that officials need to go back to the drawing board.
