Reporting Mo Ivory

There are several black athlete’s competing in the Olympic’s this year,  Mo feels like they aren’t getting a fair amount of coverage. Black Olympic athlete’s , Gabrielle Douglas and Cullen Jones thrived this weekend at the London Olympic games but were not approached as much by the media as their white teammates. Mo noticed that Cullen is the only one who maintained the lead during the race,  but after the meet was over the media ignored him and approached Michael Phelps.

While Gabby Douglass had much success in her meet the media instead focused on how Jordan Weiber was knocked out of the competition. The media also described Gabby as the underdog. Mo feels that if Gabby had’ve been knocked out of the competition like Weiber they wouldn’t have made as much fuss. Gabby reached the Olympics without any endorsements. Mo predicts that Gabby will win the all around competition and they will have to get her the endorsements that she deserves.
