ATLANTA (CBS Atlanta) — McDonald’s knows what its customers want and what they want is chicken.

McDonald’s will test its newest item, deep-fried chicken wings, at local restaurants in Atlanta, according to the Los Angeles Times

The wings, which are called Mighty Wings, were previously tested around the country in the 1990s and recently in Australia and Span.

Don’t expect to see these chicken wings at McDonald’s across the U.S., though.

“There are no plans to roll these out nationally,” Danya Proud, McDonald’s spokeswoman, told the Los Angeles Times. “This local market test reflects our desire to meet customer needs on a local level.”

McDonald’s recently unveiled “Favorites Under 400 Calories” category to highlight healthier items on the fast-food restaurant’s menu.

“We’ve been looking at new ways we can provide easy-to-find and easy-to-understand, simple nutrition information,” Neil Golden, McDonald’s USA chief marketing officer, told the Chicago Tribune. “We’re always looking to evolve.”
