FORSYTH COUNTY – (WAOK/AJC) – Forsyth County authorities say rescue teams pulled a 44- year old man from Lake Lanier Thursday afternoon, who was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Emergency crews responded to a call for help around 3-00pm, when someone reported the man had gone underwater and not resurfaced. A spokesperson, says the man was found, not breathing near the picnic area of West Bank Park, just 50 feet from shore, in about 11 feet of water. Rescue teams administered CPR, then took the man to a hospital, but he did not survive. His name has not been released.
