SNELLVILLE – (WAOK/AJC) – A Snellville mother, on vacation with her family in the Florida Keys drowned, while swimming with her kids. The woman, identified as 36 year old Jacqueline Landeverde was in the water with her 12 year old daughter, when she ran into trouble. Police in Longboat Key says Landeverde’s husband heard his daughter screaming for help, and then tried to rescue his wife, but couldn’t. They say when she was finally pulled to shore, she was not breathing, and that other beachgoers, administered CPR, before she was transported to a hospital where she died. Landeverde’s husband Daniel, says the family was on the trip with a church group, and had been staying at the Turtle Crawl Inn, near Sarasota, when the accident happened.
