Deadly Cherokee County House Fire A Mystery

CHEROKEE COUNTY – (WAOK/AJC)  –  The Cherokee county medical examiner is still trying to identify the remains of the three bodies found in a burned out home early Wednesday,  while investigators work to find out if the fire was a case of arson.     Investigators say the home was occupied by 49-year old Ricky Norrell,  his 46 year old wife,  Darlene,  and daughter,  19 year old Lindsey.  But since the bodies were burned beyond recognition it’s assumed it was the Norrell family,  although that has not been verified.  Neighbors say they called for help after hearing an explosion and then seeing flames and smoke coming from the house on Sprigss Trail,  near Ball Ground bdfore dawn Wednesday.    Firefighters said the fire was so intense,  when they arrived,   it was little they could do to save the house.
