Families Leave Apartment Over Bat Concerns

ATLANTA (AP/WAOK) – The American Red Cross is assisting families from a metro Atlanta apartment building after health officials declared it a health hazard due to bats.

Officials say the Gwinnett County Health Department shut down the apartment building on Power Road in the Buford area, northeast of Atlanta.

Authorities say the four families who lived in the apartments moved out Thursday night and were staying in a hotel.
