ATLANTA – (WAOK/AJC)  - Football star Terrell Owens could be looking at jail time,  if he doesn’t clear up  questions about his back child support.    Owens’ attorney appeared in Fulton county court Thursday,  and took the blame for  T-O’s absence,  saying he failed to properly explain to him when the court date was.     Melanie Smith,  says Owens hasn’t paid child support in months,  for their 7-year old daughter and  is $20,000 dollars behind.     He had originally been ordered to pay $5000.00 a month,   but according to court records,   has previously defaulted on those payments.       Owens,   who last played for the Cincinnati Bengals is now out of the National Football League.    The next scheduled court date was set for July 19th.
