Police: Man Exposes Self To Beat The Heat

MARIETTA, Ga. (CBS Atlanta) — A local man was arrested for exposing himself in an effort to keep cool on a hot day.

Police say 51-year-old Marvin Dwayne Bolick was seen with his pants down near an area McDonald’s restaurant, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

When authorities asked Bolick why he had exposed himself, he told them it was due to the heat, the paper additionally learned.

Bolick was subsequently arrested and charged with indecent exposure, according to booking information on the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office website.

He has been held for the past five days on a $1,000 bond, the site noted.

According to, temperatures reached over 100 degrees on July 1, the day of the incident.
