MARIETTA – (WAOK/AJC) – The city of Marietta has had a change of heart in a decision, that forced a well known restaurant to remove several flags that flew outside the business. A code enforcement officer informed owners of Williamson Brothers Barbecue, that they would have to remove a POW flag, and a flag that supports American troops, from a flagpole outside the restaurant on Roswell Road, both of which flew below the American flag. But after the owners told people about the decision, expressed mostly through social media, and many reacting to it, the city of Marietta changed its stance, and told the owners of the restaurant that they could again begin flying the flags.
