There’s not much this guy can’t do…and do well!
The FX comes in both 2-wheel and all-wheel drive…and comes with either a 303 HP 6-cylinder, or a V-8….both with 7-speed automatics.
The 6 runs quite fine, thank you…looks good doing so…and delivers a measure of luxury, utility and safety.
Infiniti has had time to get this formula right…and right it is.
Heated leather front and passenger seats…with 10-way adjustments and 2-way power lumbar and memory for the driver…plus power folding rear-view mirrors with tilt-down feature when in reverse. But wait…there’s more! Front and rear sonar parking assist with back-up cam + Bose 11-speaker audio, nav, streaming audio Bluetooth and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Again…there’s not much missing from the FX 35…and not much it can’t do with it’s All-Wheel-Drive.
Utility?
Almost 25 cubic feet of cargo room with the rear seats up…and 62 with the sweats down. Plus the 6-cylinder FX can tow 2000 pounds.
And it’s all sitting on 21” graphite finish alloys.
Excellent acceleration and braking…well-poised suspension…all wheel drive with “Snow mode”…serious cargo-carrying-capability…all while you’re swaddled in luxury.
Price?
All this capability doesn’t come without a price. The FX starts at $43,700…with AWD upping the figure to $45,150….and the range-topping V-8 AWD starting at $59,800.
Mileage is rated at 16-23 for 2-wheel drive, with the AWD six-cylinder at 16 – 21.
And one more word of “thanks” to the guys at Infiniti: Thanks for making a superb radio that you can actually tune without looking at a screen. Just awesome sound…accessible by buttons…that you can change without even looking away from the road. Much simpler than all these new systems where you have to go to a screen to do anything…change a radio station, dial down the air a few degrees. Much simpler….and much safer. Thanks, Infiniti
.
