ATLANTA – (WAOK/AJC) –  A woman hit by a MARTA train this afternoon is expected to be okay,  after the accident shutdown the tracks between Five Points and the Georgia State station for several hours,  leaving passengers without air conditioning.    It’s unclear why the victim was in the restricted area of the tracks in a tunnel between the two connections.   Electricity on the east west routes,   that affected six stations was cut off for several hours,  while police investigated the crash.  The victim’s name and condition is not known.   Normal service was restored around 4-00pm.
