ATLANTA – (WAOK/CBS) – The first Atlanta teacher to be cleared of cheating by an Atlanta school tribunal is looking ahead to the future. The panel cleared, Angela Williamson of any wrongdoing in the 2009 CRCT cheating scandal, and is recommending she be reinstated. Williamson who like many others, has been on administrative leave, since last year, says she has some reservations about returning to the classroom. The tribunal has been hearing each case individually, before recommending a solution, that is ultimately decided by the Atlanta Public School Board. Williamson, a 15 year veteran, who was a teacher at Dobbs Elementary School, was accused of asking students if they were sure about their answers to encourage them to change their wrong selections.
