Crackdown On Georgia 400’s Shoulder Lanes

SANDY SPRINGS – (WAOK/CBS) –   Patrol officers in the northern suburb of Atlanta of Sandy Springs,   say they will begin issuing tickets to motorists that use the shoulder lanes of Georgia 400,  during unauthorized hours.   Several weeks ago,  shoulder lanes were opened to traffic traveling southbound on a mile stretch of the roadway in Sandy Springs,  but only during the morning rush hour,  between 6-00-9-30am.   But drivers have been using the shoulder of the highway,   outside that window of time,   and until now,  officers were only issuing warnings to violators.
