Tyler Perry Defends Bobbi Kristina
ATLANTA-Tyler Perry is downplaying reports about the sudden exit of Whitney Houston’s daughter from his TV series. Reports surfaced Wednesday that a still-grieving Bobbi Kristina Brown had suddenly walked away from Perry’s TBS comedy “For Better Or Worse.” Perry later stepped up to defend the 19-year-old in a post on his website. He wrote, “Yes, she was grieving, but grief aside, she managed to finish her obligation and did a great job at the same time.” Perry also pleaded for the public to give Bobbi Kristina some space. He wrote, “Please leave this baby alone!!! And she is a baby.”
Perry recently cast Bobbi Kristina in his sitcom to help her process the sudden loss of her mother in February. The teen has said she would like to pursue a career in entertainment like her mom and her dad, singer Bobby Brown. She is expected to appear in the recently-announced Lifetime Channel reality show alongside her uncle Gary Houston and his wife Pat, who was also Whitney’s manager. The series, titled “The Houston Family Chronicles,” will follow the family as they deal with Whitney’s passing.
