Reporting Robert Calloway
They say history has a way of repeating itself and if the Braves 0-and-4 start is any indication of what’s to come I’ll be the first to say “Thanks for the memories”.
The Atlanta Braves looked to have a very favorable schedule to open the season versus two of last year’s worst teams; a three game stint in New York versus the Mets followed by a three game series in Houston and let’s just say the schedule hasn’t turned out the way it originally looked.
Looking to turn things around after a lousy season opening series in New York, the Braves picked up right where they left off Sunday afternoon.
With the Braves winning 3-0 in the third here’s what I Tweeted:
That was followed by three Braves errors, including two from third baseman Juan Francisco that led to three unearned runs to tie the game at 3-3.
Atlanta’s offense failed to produce another run in the Braves 8-3 loss in Houston leaving the Braves 0-and-4 for the first time since 1988 when the team finished the season with a record of 54-and-106 record.
I’m not saying the Braves will have their first 100 loss season in 26 years but if they do I’ll be the first to say “Thanks for the memories”…
