The Sports Kings: Lin Goes Under The Knife…

Knicks’ point guard Jeremy Lin has had surgery on his injured left knee, and posted a picture on Twitter of himself recovering in his hospital bed. The Knicks say Lin had successful surgery on his chronic small meniscal tear in his left knee.

The procedure was performed by team orthopedist Dr. Answorth Allen at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

He is expected to be out for about six weeks.

Meanwhile, Cablevision and Madison Square Garden are pushing back against criticism that news of Lin’s knee injury was withheld until after a ticket-buying deadline had passed. The Knicks owners called that a “malicious attack.”
