The Georgia Bulldogs have given head football coach Mark Richt a contract extension through 2016.  Financial details are being finalized, but his current deal pays him $2.81-million annually.

Richt was under contract through 2013.  Richt has spent 11 seasons at Georgia and has a record of 106-and-38, including 62-and-30 in the SEC.  The Bulldogs were 10-and-4 this past season, with a 7-and-1 mark in the SEC.

They lost to LSU in the conference championship game.

Georgia also announced a new three-year contract for defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. As with Richt’s deal, financial terms are being finalized.
