This afternoon police arrested a man in connection with the double shooting of two women. Jason Bryant, 26, was arrested while picking up his child from school in Duluth. He remains in police custody.

 

ATLANTA  (WAOK) – Police are on the look out for a suspect in a double shooting in Dekalb County this morning.

Authorities say Jason Bryant fatally shot his ex-wife and injured another woman at the Windchase apartments  located just east of Stone Mountain around 11:30 am.  Police have described Bryant as violent and very dangerous. He is said to have fled the scene in a white Geo Tracker with heavy damage to the front end.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts  is asked to contact the Dekalb County police department immediately.

DeKalb County police have identified a suspect in a double shooting where one person has died.

Police are searching for , the ex-husband of one of the victims, and they said he has a violent history.

The shooting happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Windchase Lane, east of Stone Mountain.

Both of the shooting victims are women. The surviving victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but the extent of her injuries were unknown, according to DeKalb County Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish.

Before she was taken to the hospital, police said she was able to give them a description of the shooter.

Bryant fled in a white Geo Tracker with heavy damage to the front end, according police.

Police said Bryant is a danger to the community.
