TNT’s coverage of the NBA All-Star game posted a 7.0 Nielsen rating on Atlanta television Sunday that surpassed the national average of 5.4 for the 56 major markets.
Atlanta’s rating was ninth highest among major markets despite no Hawks playing in the game. The highest rating was in Miami-Fort Lauderdale (10.5), followed by Oklahoma City (10.1), host city Orlando (9.7), Chicago (8.7) and Los Angeles (8.3).
Atlanta also posted a 6.5 rating that tied for fifth highest for TNT’s coverage of the NBA’s “All-Star Saturday” which included the slam-dunk contest.
The 2nd half of the NBA season kicks off tonight with a full slate of games including:

8:00 p.m. – Toronto Raptors at Houston Rockets
8:30 p.m. – New Jersey Nets at Dallas Mavericks
10:00 p.m. – Utah Jazz at Sacramento Kings
10:30 p.m. – Minnesota Timberwolves at Los Angeles Clippers
