ATLANTA (WAOK) – Foreclosures in Georgia are on the rise again. In January the state ranked 4th in the nation with over 12-thousand homeowners receiving default notices. The number is up 17-percent from December.
Overall, RealtyTrac’s U.S. Foreclosure Market Report for January 2012 shows a three-percent increase from the previous month. Such things as default notices, scheduled auctions and bank repossessions hit nearly 211-thousand properties in January.
