ATLANTA (WAOK/TMZ)-The entertainment world is in a state of shock after the untimely death of singer, actress and producer Whitney Houston. Houston’s body was found Saturday in a bathtub in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where she was preparing to appear at the annual pre-grammy party of her mentor Clive Davis.
TMZ reports that Whitney went into the bathroom to take a bath and her stylist, hairdresser and bodyguards became concerned after she had been in the bathroom for over an hour. After knocking at the bathroom door for several minutes the hairdresser went inside and found Houston’s face under the water. The bodyguard then reportedly removed Whitney from the tub to do CPR but TMZ reports Houston’s body was cold. Paramedics were called. Whitney Houston was declared dead at 3:55 pm Pacific time. Whitney Houston was 48.
An autopsy has been scheduled for today to determine the exact cause of death.

Bobby Brown, the former husband of Whitney Houston is described as “beside himself” with grief after learning of Houston’s death Saturday night. Brown was reportedly in Memphis, Tennessee where he’s performing in concert when he learned the news.
Whitney Houston will be remembered at the Grammys on Sunday night. Grammy Awards Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich isn’t saying specifically what will be done, but says Jennifer Hudson will be involved in a tribute. The Grammys will also be remembering Etta James and the late Don Cornelius.
