Bill To Allow Students To Use College IDs At Polls
ATLANTA (AP/WAOK) – A recent bill approved by House lawmakers will allow college students to use their IDs to vote in this year’s election.
Democratic Rep. Alisha Thomas Morgan’s bill approved Thursday would add ID cards from private colleges and universities to the list of documents accepted at polling stations.
Morgan said students at public colleges and universities can already use their school ID cards because they are state-issued.
The bill passed by a vote of 122-35. It now heads to the state Senate.
