Too Much Truth Recap: Rally For Cody Stephens This Sunday!

This Sunday, a community rally will be held for Cody Stephens, a Gainesville High senior whom supporters feel is being shortchanged on graduation day. Gainesville High School administrators have ruled Cody Stephens will be a co-valedictorian this year even though he and his mother were told that he indeed had the highest GPA in his class. Valerie Stephens said her son has a 4.75 grade point average and feels according to the school’s own written policy, Cody should be the sole valedictorian. That’s ridiculous and I agree wit h Derrick. How is that they expect this mother and the community to sit by idoly and allow them to change the rules when it’s convenient for them to do so. And the African American principal needs to grow some testicular fortitude and stand up for what he knows is right. Just a shame for real.
Cody, YOU GO HEAD WITH YOU BAD SELF! KUDOS to you and your mother for hanging in there and achieving your goals. I wish you even more success in all you do with your life.
