Despite a heartbreaking setback in the AFC Championship Game, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is not ready to hang up his cleats.
The 13-time Pro Bowler confirmed following his team’s 23-20 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday that he would be back for a 17th season in the middle of the vaunted Ravens defense.
Lewis will be 37-years-old by the start of the 2012-13 season.
The University of Miami product was the second-ever draft selection by Baltimore, going 26th overall in 1996. He was named the MVP of Super Bowl 35 when the Ravens beat the New York Giants, 34-7.
