ATLANTA (AP) – A spokeswoman for Atlanta’s MARTA bus system says 19 people including the driver were taken to the hospital after a bus crashed on the city’s southwest side. Atlanta Fire Capt. Jolyon (JOE-lee-on) Bundrige says the injuries were classified as minor. He said a preliminary report indicates they were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Atlanta police say the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority bus hit a tree near Nathan Road and Brownlee Place. Bundrige says the crash happened shortly after 8a.m. Police are investigating.
