ATLANTA (WAOK)-Residents in localities throughout the state – including 51 in metro Atlanta – were given the ability to vote whether to permit the retail sale of alcoholic beverages in convenience stores and supermarkets on Sunday in the Nov. 8 election.
Voters in the city of Atlanta, Kennesaw and Smyrna will be able to purchase alcohol this Sunday Jan. 1.
Here is a list of other cities that already have Sunday alcohol sales: Alpharetta, Avondale Estates, College Park, Duluth, East Point, Grayson, Jonesboro, Lawrenceville, Milton, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Snellville, Sugar Hill, Suwanee, Villa Rica and Woodstock.
