According to the “Atlanta Journal-Constituion,” Georgia head football coach Mark Richt committed a secondary violation when he paid three assistant coaches out of his own pocket.
Richt made payments totalling over $25-thousand. The coaches received letters from the school and will undergo further rules training.
Richt asked former athletic director Damon Evans for raises for members of his staff but was denied.
Current AD Greg McGarity says there is nothing to say, and the university has to move forward.
