ATLANTA -An unemployed man who found a purse filled with $500 and credit cards at the Lenox MARTA station and returned it to the owner has been rewarded with a job offer, reports Atlanta Business Chronicle broadcast partner WXIA-TV.
Shortly after the story aired on the station, the owners of Buckhead Shell contacted the man and offered him work, WXIA reported.
The man, who was on his way to a program that helps the unemployed when he found the purse, did not ask for a reward or for the attention, WXIA said.
The man said in response to the offer: “ If you keep the faith and you believe in yourself, things will get better. Things will work out.”
