ATLANTA (WAOK) A federal appeals panel has upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit, filed against the city of Atlanta and some of its police officers. The decision comes after the court ruled, self reported informant Alexis White’s, claim that Atlanta police narcotics officers tried to frame him, in connection with a botched drug raid that ended with the fatal shooting of 92-year old Katherine Johnston, wasn’t substantiated. Later the city’s narcotics unit was totally overhauled, and a number of the officers who took part in the drug raid on Neal Street, 5-years ago, were convicted and sent to prison for corruption.
