The UCLA Bruins introduced Jim L. Mora as their new head football coach at a press conference on Tuesday. The 50-year-old Mora previously coached the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons.
Mora is replacing Rick Neuheisel, who was fired before the team’s loss to Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship game.
Mora’s father, Jim E. Mora, was also a prominent collegiate and NFL head coach, whose career included a stop at UCLA in 1974.
The Bruins finished this season at 6-and-7 overall and 5-and-4 in conference play. They are slated to square off against Illinois on December 31st in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl at AT&T Park in San Francisco.
