The Sports Kings: Ga. Tech Ends 35 Year Drought

In his first trip to Stegman Coliseum Ga. Tech first year head Coach Brian Gregory did something that hasn’t been done in over 30 years.

Last night Coach Gregory became the first Ga. Tech coach to defeat UGA in Athens since 1976!

Not to take away from the accomplishment but the two teams have both struggled over the past few weeks.

Jason Morris scored a team high 15 points to lead Ga. Tech to their historic 68-56 win over UGA, ending the Jackets’ 13-game losing streak in Athens.

Gerald Robinson had a season-high 20 points, including 16 in the first half, for Georgia in the losing effort.
