ATLANTA (WAOK)- Investigators say they are working on several clues in the kidnapping, rape and murder of 7-year old Jorelys Rivera. Her body was discovered at the bottom of a dumpster, after it was taken to a nearby field and searched not far from the River Ridge apartment complex where she was last seen on Friday. FBI Director, Vernon Keenan said she had also been severely beaten. An autopsy will be performed by the Cherokee County coroner’s office, to determine exactly how the girl died. Rivera disappeared after friends say she left the playground outside her apartment, to go and get drinks for her playmates, but she was never seen again. Police did not name any immediate suspects, but is asking for the public’s help in solving the crime. If you have information you are asked to call 770 704-7074.
