FORSYTH, Co. (WAOK)-Investigators say a motorist was killed, when a tree fell on a car, in Forsyth county, near McGinnis Ferry and Brookwood Roads, during Wednesday’s severe weather in north Georgia. Police say the tree, blown over by heavy winds, crushed the cab, killing the driver. Severe weather pushed it’s way across metro Atlanta, bringing strong winds, heavy rain and hail in some areas. Power lines were knocked down too, and left several hundred in the dark, in parts of Cobb county. During the height of the storm, tornado warnings were issued, in Cobb, Paulding, Cherokee, Fulton, DeKalb and Gwinnett counties. Investigators say the worst damage, was reported in Harris county, near Columbus, where a lot of trees were pulled down, and roofs were damaged. There has been no confirmation that any of the damage was caused by twisters.
